Our Team
Elaine Shen | GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Instructor, Managing Owner
Elaine believes that freedom in movement is essential for a healthy, balanced life. A neuroscientist by training, Elaine is fascinated with the interrelationship of the mind and the body. While working in the biotech industry, Elaine discovered the Gyrotonic method and its ability to reduce stress and tension, relieve pain from postural imbalances and develop deep inner strength to support her through life. As her physical body changed, her mental and emotional health improved. The results were so transformative that Elaine became a Gyrotonic instructor so that she could share her profound experiences with others like her. Elaine’s desire is to help people discover and renew personal vitality and resilience through personalized training sessions designed to foster balance, ease and strength in movement.

Jean Jones | GYROTONIC® Instructor
Jean found the Gyrotonic method in 2015 after searching for years for a movement practice that felt safe and liberating but also challenging enough to be strengthening. A serious accident in the early 1990’s resulted in a neck fracture and head trauma that left her with muscle weakness, restricted neck rotation and arthritis. She found Gyrotonic exercises to be truly transformative in restoring physical well-being and in feeling lighter, more confident, and more positive in all aspects of her life. Jean decided to become a Gyrotonic Trainer because she wanted to share her experiences and passion with others. Jean enjoys working with a diverse array of clients including individuals with past injuries, those in retirement, professionals with a desk job, and busy moms and is especially attuned to neck and shoulder tension. Jean is also a successful professional in the banking industry. She enjoys walking her labradoodle, going to boat and car shows with her husband, knitting, crocheting and reading.
